The two day novice course provides students with all that from our 1 Day chainsaw training course plus increased practical based learning. Students will learn more about risk assessment for trees 6” diameter to 24” diameter. Students will get hands on experience cutting notches for directional felling and learn how to incorporate additional gear for safety such as wedges and basic mechanical advantage systems; through use of ropes and pulleys.
FOR EXPERIENCED CUTTERS
Our 2 day course for experienced cutters will be customized to the group skill level. We take a look at safety and proficiency and work to ensure students gain knowledge to fine tune their skills. Students will learn how to properly stack wedges in a standard back cut and bore cut scenario for increased safety awareness when dealing with neutral and back leaning trees. Mitigation practices will be discussed for side leaning trees.
If you are dealing with disaster clean up; storm damage mitigation and uprooted trees due to heavy winds and flooding, a variety of techniques will be discussed and introduced.
Looking to Go Green? Or have you recently invested in new battery equipment?
We introduce students to the various options available in the market and promote their valuable usage for small tree pruning and removals. They greatly benefit operations in natural settings such as trails maintenance, parks, ravines, and watersheds. We will discuss the variations of ergonomics and fleet management to help you decide what may be a great fit for your desired use and how to operate safely and maintain your battery operated tools. Students will learn various brush mitigation techniques with use of chainsaws, hedgers, pole saws and pole pruners.
